X2 Records provides technology and digital services for professional music and media operations, including software, infrastructure, catalog and metadata workflows, distribution, rights information, analytics, reporting, automation, APIs and connected professional services.

X2 Records is not defined by any single distributor, payment provider, rights organization or other external provider. Third-party providers may be used as independent service components or adapters.

X2 Technology

X2 Technology includes software, infrastructure, interfaces, APIs, workflows, automation, analytics, structured data processing and other proprietary technology made available through X2 Services.

Customers receive only the access and usage rights expressly granted for the applicable service. No ownership of X2 Technology is transferred.

Customer Content and Rights

Customer audio, artwork, metadata, compositions, lyrics, documents, catalog information and rights information do not become X2 property merely because they are stored, processed or transmitted through X2.

Any licence granted to X2 is limited to the scope reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, subject to the applicable Terms and service-specific agreement.

X2 Records Label

The X2 Records Label is a separate label relationship and is not created by use of the X2 technology platform.

A Label relationship applies only to selected master recordings under a separate executed agreement defining the relevant rights, territory, term, exclusivity and commercial terms. Publishing, composition and songwriter rights are not automatically transferred.

Third-Party Services

Connected DSPs, social platforms, payment providers, rights organizations, registries and infrastructure providers operate under their own terms and legal responsibilities. X2 does not represent that every third-party service is available in every country or for every user.

Legal Documents

Use of X2 is governed by the Terms of Service together with the policies and service-specific terms applicable to the function being used. Where a separate signed agreement conflicts with general public terms for the same subject matter, the signed agreement controls to the extent of that conflict.
