How X2 uses cookies and similar browser storage, separately from user-authorized external account connections.
1. Scope
This Policy covers cookies, local storage and similar technologies used on X2 websites and interfaces. It is separate from OAuth, API or other user-authorized connections to external services.
2. Necessary Technologies
Necessary storage may support authentication, security, session continuity, language selection, user-interface state and other functions required for the requested service.
3. Preference Storage
X2 currently uses browser storage for locale preference, including localStorage and a cookie identified as x2_locale. Preferences may change as the public site evolves.
4. Analytics
Where analytics cookies or similar technologies are used, X2 will provide appropriate disclosure and consent controls where required. The final public cookie inventory must reflect actual production technology rather than assumed vendors.
5. Marketing Technologies
Marketing cookies or similar technologies are used only where actually implemented and legally permitted, subject to any required consent.
6. Connected Accounts Are Different
Connecting a DSP, social account, advertising account or other external service through OAuth or API authorization is not the same as placing a cookie. Connected accounts are controlled by the permissions granted for that integration.
7. User Responsibility and X2 Responsibility
Users must have authority to connect external accounts and provide lawful instructions. X2 remains responsible for its own processing, security controls and legal obligations.
8. Choices
Users may control non-essential cookies through available consent settings and browser controls. Blocking necessary storage may prevent some features from working correctly.
9. Updates
Cookie names, purposes and providers may change. X2 will maintain a factual production inventory and update this Policy when material changes occur.
