Label Application Terms & Consent
Terms governing submission and review of an application to the X2 Records Label.
1. Application Only
Submitting a Label application is a request for consideration only. It does not create a contract, guarantee release, create exclusivity or transfer rights.
2. Authority
The applicant confirms authority to submit the project and to provide any master recordings, links, metadata and supporting information included in the application.
3. Existing Agreements
The applicant must disclose any existing label, distribution, publishing, management or other agreement that may limit the proposed collaboration.
4. Remixes, Samples and Third-Party Material
Applications involving remixes, samples, covers, third-party beats or other licensed material must accurately disclose the relevant rights and permissions.
5. Review
X2 may review submitted materials, professional activity, public releases, rights information and other relevant information for evaluation purposes.
6. Personal Contact and Negotiation
By submitting the application, the applicant authorizes X2 to contact the applicant by email. If X2 wishes to explore a relationship, an X2 Records Label manager may contact the applicant personally to discuss recordings, exclusivity, territory, contract duration, rights, commercial terms, royalty or revenue share, release strategy, marketing and project-specific conditions.
7. No Binding Effect of Discussions
Emails, calls, proposals, drafts and negotiations do not create a binding Label relationship unless and until the final Label Agreement is executed by the relevant parties.
8. Similar Material
X2 may already be reviewing or developing similar musical or commercial ideas. Submission does not create exclusivity over general concepts, styles or unprotected ideas.
9. Privacy
Application information is processed according to the Privacy Policy and may be retained for reasonable evaluation, rights, legal and recordkeeping purposes.
