Payments, Currencies & Payout Methods Policy
Rules for payment methods, payout destinations, currencies, conversion, beneficiary verification and restricted payment corridors.
1. Payment Infrastructure
X2 may use independent regulated payment, banking, electronic-money or other financial-service providers to process supported payments and payouts. Availability depends on country, beneficiary, verification, currency, receiving institution, applicable law, sanctions requirements and provider eligibility.
2. Payments to X2 and Payouts From X2
Payments to X2 may include Service Fees, Usage Fees, API Charges, AI Verification Fees and other disclosed charges. Payouts from X2 may include eligible royalty, revenue-share or other amounts payable to a verified beneficiary. Different methods and compliance requirements may apply to each direction.
3. Supported Methods
Depending on country and provider availability, methods may include bank transfer, local bank transfer, SEPA, international transfer, supported payment accounts or other approved methods. Not every method is available in every country or currency.
4. Multiple Currencies
X2 may support multiple currencies. Balances may be displayed in one currency even where underlying revenue originated in another. Settlement currency depends on provider capability, payment corridor, receiving account and applicable restrictions.
5. Currency Conversion
Currency conversion may be performed by a financial provider, bank, intermediary or receiving institution and may involve exchange-rate differences or conversion charges. Any X2 client-facing conversion charge must be disclosed.
6. Transfer Fees
Payouts may be subject to transfer fees, conversion charges, intermediary-bank fees, receiving-bank fees or provider-specific processing charges. X2 does not need to disclose confidential commercial pricing arrangements with infrastructure providers, but charges imposed on the customer by X2 or deducted under the applicable agreement must be disclosed or reflected in transaction information.
7. Beneficiary Verification
Before certain payouts, X2 may verify the account holder, rightsholder, royalty beneficiary, legal name, business entity, authorized representative, payment destination, tax information and other required KYC or KYB information.
8. Bank Country Is Not Legal Identity
X2 does not determine payout eligibility solely by the country in which a bank account is located. Citizenship, legal residence, business establishment, beneficiary identity, bank country, sanctions status and provider eligibility may be separate facts.
9. Lawful Third-Country Accounts
A lawful account in another supported jurisdiction may be used where it genuinely belongs to the verified beneficiary or an authorized recipient, is lawfully maintained, accurate information is provided, the transaction is not intended to evade restrictions, the provider accepts the payment corridor and applicable law permits the transaction.
10. Sanctions and Restricted Payments
X2 and its providers will not knowingly process prohibited transactions. Screening may consider beneficiary identity, applicable sanctions lists, residence, nationality where legally relevant, entity ownership or control, receiving institution, destination and payment route.
11. No Circumvention
Users must not use third-country accounts, intermediaries, companies, nominees, VPNs or false information to evade sanctions, financial restrictions or provider controls.
12. Provider Decisions
A regulated provider may request additional verification, reject or return a payment, restrict a country or currency, or require compliance information. X2 cannot override a lawful provider decision.
13. Alternative Methods
Where another lawful X2-supported payout method is available, X2 may allow the beneficiary to use it. X2 does not guarantee that another provider will process a transaction rejected for compliance reasons.
14. Changes to Payout Details
Changes to beneficiary, bank account, payment account, country or business entity may trigger additional verification or temporary payment delay to protect against account takeover and fraud.
15. Payment Status
X2 may use statuses such as PENDING, COMPLIANCE REVIEW, APPROVED, PROCESSING, SENT, PAID, RETURNED, FAILED and RESTRICTED. A SENT status may still require processing by independent financial institutions.
16. Returned Payments
Returned payouts may be restored to an eligible pending balance after reconciliation. Additional provider charges may apply where legally permitted and disclosed.
17. Timing
Arrival time depends on accounting cycle, reconciliation, verification, payment method, currency, financial provider, correspondent banking and compliance review. X2 does not guarantee an exact arrival time where independent institutions control processing.
18. Accrued Entitlement
An otherwise valid accrued entitlement does not automatically disappear because one payout route becomes unavailable. The beneficiary may need to provide another lawful supported method, subject to applicable law and contractual limits.
