Fees, Revenue Share & Usage Charges Policy
Commercial model for X2 revenue participation, service fees, usage charges and related pricing rules.
1. Standard Commercial Model
X2 does not use a mandatory recurring platform subscription as its standard commercial model. X2 Services may instead use revenue participation, Service Fees, Usage Fees, API Usage Charges or contract-specific commercial terms.
2. Standard Royalty Model Where Expressly Adopted
Where a service expressly adopts the standard X2 royalty model, X2 receives 15% and the eligible rightsholder or participant pool receives 85% of applicable Net Royalty Revenue.
This 15% / 85% model is not universal and does not apply unless the relevant service, order or agreement expressly says so.
3. Label Economics
X2 Records Label economics are contract-specific. The standard 15% / 85% model applies to a Label relationship only if the executed Label Agreement expressly adopts it.
4. Service Fees
Specific professional operations may carry a disclosed Service Fee, including processing, specialist review, high-volume workflows, exports, synchronization or other service-specific operations.
5. Usage Fees
Usage Fees may depend on volume, transactions, processing, storage, compute, automation, data operations or other measurable service consumption.
6. API Usage Charges
API pricing may depend on calls, data volume, storage, compute, premium endpoints, automation volume, AI verification or enterprise requirements.
7. AI Verification Fees
AI Verification or AI Release Processing may carry a disclosed fee reflecting automated analysis, provenance review, licence review, compute, quality control or manual review. Such a fee is a service charge and not a penalty for using AI.
8. Anti-Fraud Enforcement Fee
A second confirmed violation may result in a disclosed Anti-Fraud Enforcement Fee or contractual penalty where legally permitted and where the applicable amount or calculation has been disclosed before enforcement.
9. Taxes
Unless expressly stated as tax-inclusive, Service Fees, Usage Fees, API Charges, AI Verification Fees and other X2 charges may be subject to VAT, GST, sales tax or similar indirect tax according to applicable law.
10. Third-Party Costs
Independent payment, banking, currency-conversion, intermediary, provider or institutional charges may apply separately from X2 charges.
11. Transparency
Where relevant, X2 aims to distinguish Gross or Source Revenue, provider adjustments, Net Royalty Revenue, X2 Share, User Entitlement, participant allocation, withholding and Payable Amount so materially different deductions are not combined without explanation.
12. Changes
Fee schedules may change prospectively. Material charges applicable to a requested operation should be disclosed before the user confirms that paid operation.
